Pretoria's quietly prestigious suburb.

Brooklyn doesn't shout. The money is older here. The names are known. Your website needs to fit that culture.

Brooklyn is one of Pretoria's most established postcodes. Home to dozens of embassies and high commissions. To law firms with letterheads that go back three generations. To accounting practices with client books most agencies would kill for. And to Brooklyn Mall, which still feels like a proper shopping address despite Menlyn next door.

Brooklyn clients are different. They've seen every sales pitch. They don't trust loud claims. They check references before they commit. They pay well, but they're slow to choose, and they don't change their mind easily. The websites that win them are calm, well-built, and signal experience without ever needing to say so out loud.

In Brooklyn, the loudest website usually loses. Your job is to look like a business that knows exactly what it's doing and doesn't need to prove it.

We've worked with Brooklyn law firms, financial planners, embassies, retailers and consultancies. The brief is always the same. Refined. Clear. Easy to read. With every detail in place. No stock images of handshakes. No clichés. No flash. Just a website that quietly does the job of opening the right doors.

Why most Brooklyn websites undersell the business.

Three problems we see on almost every old Brooklyn site. All three are fixable.

Issue 01

The website looks smaller than the firm

Many Brooklyn businesses have been around for decades. Their offices are beautiful. Their client list is enviable. Their website looks like an afterthought from 2014. Clients pick up the difference instantly, and the firm starts to look smaller than it really is.

Issue 02

Slow loads break the first impression

A serious-looking website that takes six seconds to load doesn't look serious. It looks neglected. Google ranks it lower. Visitors lose patience and leave. By the time the homepage finally appears, half your prospects have already moved on to your competitor.

Issue 03

The wrong message for the wrong audience

Many sites for Brooklyn firms are full of marketing speak. Bold claims. Aggressive calls to action. Brooklyn clients don't respond to that. They want clear language, real credentials, and a calm path to a first conversation. The wrong tone repels exactly the clients you most want.

The fix: a calm, refined, well-coded website that signals experience without effort. Built carefully. Written carefully. Designed to bring in the kind of clients Brooklyn firms deserve.

Three Brooklyns, one approach.

Brooklyn has three main business clusters. Here's how we build for each one.

The embassy district.

Brooklyn is home to a dense cluster of embassies, high commissions, and ambassadorial residences. Around them sit immigration law firms, international consultancies, translation agencies, relocation services and international schools serving diplomatic families and expat communities.

Sites we build for this sector are clean, multilingual where needed, and accessible to non-native English readers. We focus on clarity above all. Clear services. Clear credentials. Clear processes. Easy ways to get in touch by phone, email or video call across time zones. Schema markup for international SEO so you appear in searches from outside South Africa too.

Build complexity Medium-high
Recurring need Content + compliance
"Diplomatic clients move in a small world. Your website is often the first credibility check they do before reaching out at all."

The heritage firms.

Brooklyn is full of legal, accounting and financial firms with deep roots. Family law specialists. Estate planners. Tax consultancies. Wealth managers. Some have been operating in the area for two or three generations. Their clients are loyal, often inherited, and trust referrals over any kind of advertising.

The websites we build for them honour that history. Real partner profiles with proper credentials. Plain-language explanations of complex services. Discreet design that signals quality without ever needing to boast. We also build out proper team pages, an honest "about" section, and a careful, structured FAQ so prospective clients can answer their own basic questions before reaching out.

Build complexity Medium-high
Recurring need Thought leadership
"Brooklyn clients hire the firm whose website signals they're not the kind of business that needs to chase. They expect to be chosen, not sold to."

The Brooklyn Mall set.

Brooklyn Mall is the anchor, with Woolworths, Exclusive Books, fine-dining restaurants and premium retail. Around it sit art galleries, private medical aesthetics, premium fitness studios and the kind of beauty clinics that have been operating in the same address for fifteen years. Premium, established, loyal.

The sites we build for this sector are editorial. Big photography. Generous white space. Restrained colour. Cleanly written service pages. Easy ways to book without making the customer feel sold-to. Where it fits, we add subtle gallery features, video walkthroughs of the space, and proper testimonials from named clients (with permission).

Case Study · Heritage Law Firm

Family law firm near Brooklyn Mall

A 28-year-old family law practice with eight partners, handling divorce, estate planning and trust work for Pretoria's old money. Their referral pipeline was solid, but their website looked like it was last updated in 2015. Younger inheriting clients (the children of long-standing clients) were quietly moving their work to newer firms with better online presence.

We rebuilt as a discreet, editorial site. Real partner photography. Plain-English practice descriptions. A subtle FAQ for sensitive matters. Schema markup for LegalService and Person. No flashy animations. No bold CTAs. Same firm, same reputation. A website that finally caught up to it.

We also serve across Pretoria.

Brooklyn sits at the centre of Pretoria's old east, so we're always working nearby. Here are the closest suburbs to your business.

Honest answers to fair questions.

The questions we hear most often from Brooklyn business owners. If yours isn't here, just ask.

Yes. We're based in Pretoria, and Brooklyn is about 15 minutes from our studio. We meet clients in person at coffee shops, your office, or ours. Whichever works. Most of our current projects are with Brooklyn businesses. We can share references in your industry if you'd like.
Yes. We've built multilingual sites (English plus French, Mandarin, Portuguese, Afrikaans, others on request) using proper hreflang tags so Google serves the right version to the right audience. We can also build with diplomatic protocol in mind, where tone matters as much as accuracy. For embassy-adjacent businesses we keep the design restrained and the language careful.
Yes. Heritage is one of your most valuable assets and we never throw it away. We'll start by mapping your history (founding year, generations of partners, big matters or cases, decades of service). Then we build a site that signals that without making it feel old-fashioned. Refined typography. Considered colour. Real client work where you can share it. A site that says "we've been doing this for a long time and we still do it well."
Our Standard package starts at R7,950. You get a 5 to 7 page hand-coded site with SEO built in. Premium is R11,950 and adds a blog plus more advanced features. Ultimate is R14,950 and is our full package, made for businesses serious about ranking on Google. Bigger projects get a custom quote. Hosting is separate, from R99 a month. No surprise fees. No setup costs.
Standard sites take 3 to 4 weeks. Premium and Ultimate take 4 to 6 weeks. The biggest delay is usually waiting for your content (text, photos, logos), not the build itself. If you have everything ready, we can sometimes go faster. We'll give you a real timeline on our first call.
Yes. We build on WordPress, so you can change text, swap images, and add blog posts whenever you want. We also record a custom training video for your site, so you know exactly which buttons to click. For bigger changes (new pages, new sections), most clients prefer to email us and we do it for them. R650 an hour if you don't have a monthly plan.
You own everything. The code, the design, the words, the photos, the domain (in your name) and the WordPress install. Hosting with us is optional. We'll move your site to another host if you ever want. Most clients stay because our hosting is fast and local, and we look after it. But there's no lock-in. Ever.
Often yes. If your old site has decent bones (clean WordPress, tidy code), we can fix and improve it. If it's a Wix or Squarespace site with lots of problems, the honest truth is rebuilding from scratch usually costs the same as trying to fix it, and gives you a much better result. We'll do a free audit and tell you straight which way to go.

Let's build a website your Brooklyn competitors can't match.

Book a free call. We'll look at what you have, show you what's possible, and give you a clear price. No pressure. No sales talk. No monthly fees until you've seen what we can do.
